Pokelike Mega Evolution — All 48 Unlocks and MVP Requirements
Direct answer
Clear Kalos Tower (Stage 6) to unlock the Mega Bracelet. Each of the 48 current stones/forms then needs 1, 5, 10 or 50 winning-Challenge MVP credits summed across its Pokémon’s evolution line; ORAS-marked stones also require a Stage 7 clear. A Tower MVP is not a Challenge record. “Slayer”, “Glass Cannon” and “Comeback King” are titles for the same selected run winner and do not by themselves stop its MVP credit.

The unlock sequence

- Clear Kalos Battle Tower, not a Story region or a Stage 1 repeat. This is the ordinary Mega Bracelet gate.
- Open the Mega Bracelet menu and find the target’s exact requirement below. Counts use the whole evolution family, so a qualifying winning Challenge with Gastly/Haunter/Gengar contributes to the Gengar line.
- Win a Challenge format that records run statistics with that line selected as the run winner. A loss does not add a winning-MVP credit; modes that disable run statistics do not record these credits.
- For a stone marked ORAS, also clear ORAS Tower. This unlocks the extra set but does not erase the target’s MVP threshold.
- Start a Tower or eligible Challenge with the matching unlocked line. The client supplies its owned stone when the starter has no other held item. The form activates when the holder is the matching species and the run permits Megas.
All 48 current Mega and Primal requirements
The count below is winning-Challenge MVP credits for the evolution line, not Trainer KOs, ordinary Tower clears, item drops or a universal per-stone price.

How the game chooses the run winner
The v3.5 run result ranks contributors by total damage dealt, then more KOs, then fewer faints. It requires a positive damage or KO contribution. “Most used” is not the complete selection rule. The winner’s display title becomes Slayer at six or more KOs, Glass Cannon for a dominant single hit, or Comeback King after repeated faints; the recorded species remains that selected winner.
Winning-Challenge recording adds the credit to that species ID, and the stone check sums reachable members of its evolution line. A Tower result may show a strong attacker, but the ordinary Tower completion branch does not call this Challenge MVP recorder.

Why the counter or Mega did not change
Sources: Pokelike official v3.5 client — Tower, permanent investment, eggs and Mega unlocks
| Symptom | Actionable check |
|---|---|
| Won a Tower run, still 0/10 | Use a winning Challenge format that records stats. Ordinary Tower clears unlock the Bracelet/ORAS gates but are not the Challenge MVP counter. |
| The card says Slayer instead of MVP | It is a title of the same selected winner. Check the species/line and counter; do not discard a valid run only because the title changed. |
| Another Pokémon got credit | Compare total damage, KOs and faints. Keep the target doing the useful work, but do not sacrifice the clear just to force it to lead every bad matchup. |
| Played endlessly or lost | The recorder awards winning-MVP credit when a qualifying run completes. A still-running Endless record or a loss is not automatically a completed winning Challenge. |
| Counts reached but stone still locked | Check Kalos Tower clear, and the additional ORAS Tower clear for ORAS rows. Then verify the current save/account and whether the line counter is the one displayed. |
| Stone equipped but no form yet | The held stone must match the current species; an unevolved starter can carry a later form’s stone before it reaches that species. Also check no-Mega and deck-collection restrictions and whether another held item replaced the stone. |
| Form present but ability is off | Some runs disable Mega abilities separately from forms. Inspect the current mode modifier rather than assuming a wrong unlock. |
Do not confuse the October bonus with the normal rule
The captured client contains a double-MVP weekend from October 16, 2026 at 00:00 to October 19, 2026 at 00:00 in UTC+02:00. That window has ended by this October 19 review. The normal credit is one per qualifying winning run; a future event needs its own explicit window. The presence of event text in the client is not proof that an event is currently active.

Use the unlocked form in an actual plan
Mega Scizor’s current Bullet Punch gives priority while its Attack battle stage is below +10; this checks temporary battle stages, not permanent Vitamin points or base Attack; Mega Gardevoir’s Mega Symphonia disables the Psychic Trait while striking every foe at half damage. ORAS weather and Mega Rayquaza can also change matchup rules. Selecting a Mega Form in the Wiki Analyzer only changes its base defensive typing: it does not prove that your save has unlocked it or simulate these abilities.
- Prepare for Kalos Tower
- ORAS teams and Primal weather
- Plan a permanent starter
- Compare base-type trade-offs

What the source does not prove
- Facts were read from the official v3.5 client on October 19, 2026. Counter plans are recommendations from its actual rosters and mechanics, not a recorded clear or a win-rate guarantee.
- Ordinary Tower data is shown; special Challenge rules can change rosters, levels, Traits, Items and eligibility.
