IceGround

In Pokelike v3.1, Piloswine evolves into Mamoswine at level 40 or above through the ordinary evolution check. The Johto encounter table includes Piloswine on map 9. You can also evolve Swinub at level 33; no move-learning requirement appears in this evolution record.

Where to find Piloswine

These maps include Piloswine in their normal hand-placed encounter pools. An eligible map does not guarantee a spawn on your next node.

Piloswine's evolution in Pokelike

The ordinary evolution check uses the level thresholds below. They are Pokelike rules; evolution methods from another Pokémon game may differ.

If evolution does not happen

Check whether the Pokémon holds Eviolite, whether the challenge disables evolution, and whether a Kanto fusion run restricts the target. The listed level is the threshold checked by the game, not a promise that every special mode will evolve the Pokémon.

Plan your next step

The Swinub route gives you a second concrete way to work toward Mamoswine. First reach the Swinub-to-Piloswine threshold, then keep Piloswine for its level-40 evolution check.

The client evolution record does not require Ancient Power. Special challenge rules can still disable evolution.

Verified against the official v3.1 client. This review checks public game data and rules; it does not represent a completed playthrough. The type and Form reference below uses a separate base Pokémon dataset.

A comparison you can reproduce

Piloswine or Quagsire when Fire is the problem?

Keep Tyranitar, Ampharos, Skarmory, Heracross and Espeon fixed, then compare Piloswine with Quagsire. Both carry Ground, but the second type changes the answer to Fire.

Quagsire changes this slot from Fire-weak to Fire-resistant and removes its Fighting weakness. Electric immunity remains, while Grass exposure increases from 2× to 4× and the team loses its Ice point. Use the swap if Fire protection is the immediate need; it sacrifices Piloswine’s Ice contribution and does not model the moves you would lose.

Piloswine in Pokésort: colour, generation and stage

Pokelike v3.1 records Piloswine as brown, Gen 2, and Stage 1. Its puzzle types, in order, are Ice / Ground. For a Beats link with Piloswine on the left, use Ice against both types of the Pokémon on the right.

These are the official puzzle’s recorded facts, checked September 13, 2026. Basic is stage 0; later stages count earlier evolutions, including babies. Puzzle membership does not establish Story encounter availability.
