Kanto Battle Tower: Teams and Preparation

Direct answer

Kanto is Tower Stage 1: start against Erika, then build answers for Misty and Flint rather than copying the Kanto Story gyms. The final three fixed opponents are Sabrina, Agatha and Ash Ketchum; Ash’s Pikachu is level 73. A clear opens Johto and raises the permanent Vitamin budget to 10 points per evolution line.

Start here: Kanto Tower, not Story

For an empty Hall of Fame, Charmander is a practical first-opponent choice because Erika opens with Grass/Poison. It is a conditional Tower recommendation, not the Story choice for Brock. If already unlocked, a Fire attacker fills the same job; recruit a Water answer before Flint and a Psychic answer for Agatha.

Open Battle Tower → Kanto. The current v3.5 region selector opens Stage 1 even on a new local save, with regional default starters when your Hall of Fame is empty.

All nine fixed opponents: teams, levels and Traits

These are the v3.5 ordinary Tower opponents in map order, including configured Shiny slots. Fixed enemies can keep evolved or special forms below their usual evolution levels. Levels include slot offsets and the trainer bonus; they are opponent reference levels, not required player levels. Special Challenge multipliers are excluded.

Prepare for the final three maps

  • Sabrina: levels 51–56: Her full Psychic roster includes Water/Psychic Starmie and Slowbro plus Psychic/Fairy Mr. Mime. Ghost or Dark attacks help, but a Ghost/Poison Gengar is itself Psychic-weak. Keep a healthy Psychic-resistant member and check the attack actually used; do not assume a defensive Ghost type guarantees a safe lead.
  • Agatha: levels 58–63: Muk, Tentacruel, Victreebel and Vileplume are Poison targets for Psychic. Her last two Gengar are Ghost/Poison: a Normal attack cannot hit them normally, while a Poison-heavy player team can share their Psychic weakness. Preserve the actual Psychic/Ghost/Dark attacker rather than spending it on a poor opening.
  • Ash: levels 63–73: Ash mixes six types and adds one Tier to team-computed Traits. Use Fighting into Snorlax, Electric into Pidgeot/Blastoise, and Rock into Charizard if those moves are available. Ground answers Pikachu but fails into Pidgeot and Charizard, so one Ground lead is not the whole plan.

Choose a starter and spend for the next missing role

For an empty Hall of Fame, Charmander is a practical first-opponent choice because Erika opens with Grass/Poison. It is a conditional Tower recommendation, not the Story choice for Brock. If already unlocked, a Fire attacker fills the same job; recruit a Water answer before Flint and a Psychic answer for Agatha.

Start with the unlocked evolution line you can develop and whose current move handles the opening. Permanent Vitamins cost 200₽ each and normally add 5% to the selected stat per point; Attack and Special Attack are paired in the budget. Compare one available replacement before investing, and keep the outgoing resistance or immunity visible.

Clear reward, next unlock and failure payout

An ordinary Kanto Tower clear pays 200₽. It opens Johto Tower.

A defeated ordinary Tower run pays round(10% × this stage’s clear reward × maps already completed), once for that loss. For example, five completed maps here pay 100₽. This is not a reward for abandoning a run or a claimed coins-per-minute test.

A recorded non-Challenge Tower clear also raises the Vitamin cap to min(10 × your highest cleared stage, 50). Kalos unlocks the Mega Bracelet; ORAS unlocks the extra ORAS stone set, while each stone still needs its own winning-Challenge MVP count.

Before the next fight: make a concrete check

Sources: Pokelike official v3.5 client — Tower, permanent investment, eggs and Mega unlocks

  • Inspect the next opponent, its actual attack and current weather/ability effects; change the lead and held item for that fight.
  • Keep enough HP and a backup for the last opponent rather than spending every answer on the previous trainer.
  • Enter the moves you actually use in the Analyzer. It does not simulate these boss rosters, levels, weather, Mega abilities or battle outcomes.
  • A caught Pokémon is not automatically a permanent Starter. Complete a run with a non-legendary evolution line; legendary egg/event unlocks follow their separate rules.

What the source does not prove

  • Facts were read from the official v3.5 client on October 19, 2026. Counter plans are recommendations from its actual rosters and mechanics, not a recorded clear or a win-rate guarantee.
  • Ordinary Tower data is shown; special Challenge rules can change rosters, levels, Traits, Items and eligibility.
